National Diabetes Month & Finding Better Breakfast Solutions w/ Crystal Farms(R) Better’n Eggs - #betterneggs

With a family history on both sides of Type 2 Diabetes, and some recent health scares that were related to our weight, my husband and I have been working hard at eating better, losing weight and exercising so that we can both get trimmer, healthier and be here for our kids for many years to come. You'll be hearing more about my weight loss journey soon , but in honor of November being National Diabetes Month, one product I've got the opportunity to partner with is Crystal Farms® Better'n Eggs® and AllWhites®.

We are HUGE egg eaters at our house, and omelets, breakfast burritos, scrambled eggs and other combinations are an almost daily part of our diet. My little man will eat them for every meal if we let him, and it's a food item he'll regularly beg for when hungry. For a healthy alternative Crystal Farms® Better'n Eggs ® and AllWhites® are fat-free, cholesterol-free, and low-calorie alternatives to shell eggs.

Made from real eggs, AllWhites is 100% liquid egg whites, nothing added and Better'n Eggs is 98% liquid egg whites, plus 2% vitamins and minerals. Both products have half the calories of shell eggs (25 calories per serving) and because they are fat-free, cholesterol-free and low-calorie, both products allow those with diabetes or those trying to prevent diabetes to enjoy eggs without having to sacrifice other foods they love (i.e.: they can have cheese with their eggs rather than plain eggs). Egg whites can also increase recovery time from hypoglycemia by building up adrenal glands, and are a convenient sources of lean, high-quality protein.

If you're following a diabetic diet, lean protein can help balance a diabetic diet while controlling hunger and blood sugar levels and can help you feel full longer, which helps with weight loss. It also keeps you energized during workouts

Crystal Farms® Better'n Eggs® and AllWhites® can be used in any recipe that calls for eggs and are very convenient and versatile. They do not include any added flavorings, so they won't alter the taste of your favorite recipes or egg dishes and they're made from pasteurized fresh egg whites, therefore they can be eaten raw (i.e.: in smoothies, cookie dough). Both Better'n Eggs® and AllWhites® also come in easy-to-pour, no-mess cartons which is great if you're like me and trying to wrangle toddlers and cook breakfast at the same time.
