Food Review: Enjoying Sweet & Salty Holiday Snacks w/ @SanteNuts
This time of year as the weather begins to change here in Iowa and the holidays begin to approach, one favorite treat I always crave is roasted nuts. Popular here at winter events and festivals, these are great -- but it would be nice to have the opportunity to have this at home for snacks, salads, recipes and more all year long.
Recently I had the very tasty opportunity to review some amazing roasted nuts for from Santé.
Started by a single mom who uses a secret recipe passed down from generations, these nuts have a lighter taste with an amazing crunch, and they also use less oil than the event vendors have which helps make them healthier. The special process they use using organic canola oil gives the nuts a perfect wafer thin coating of pure cane sugar for an amazing flavor.
I recently received a great sample pack of Santé product to try out including garlic almonds, candied pecans, candied walnuts, and roasted salted pecans. While normally I always share our review items with family and friends, these nuts were so good, I'm ashamed to admit that I ate them all myself. I even hid them in the closet so company wouldn't find them in the pantry when they stayed for the weekend. I tried Santé nuts by themselves just out of the bag, in salads and in recipes and they were amazing. I'll definitely be ordering some for holiday gifts, but husband will probably need to hide them from just so they don't disappear before Christmas!
